Sypnosis :
Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze) got killed by a thief, Willie Lopez (Rick Aviles). After which, he realises that he is no longer alive. However, he is still able to roam about as a free spirt. He follows Willy home and found out that he was working for someone else and his girlfriend, Molly Janson (Demi Moore) is in danger. Along the way, he met Oda Mae Brown (Whoopi Goldberg), a con-artist posing as a spiritual medium, who heard him speaking of what a joke she is (although she did not know she really did had the power to communicate with spirts). He slowly realises that his best friend, Carl Bruner (Tony Goldwyn) was the one who hired Willy Lopez to rob Sam in an attempt to get the password to succeed in a money laundering scheme.
My personal review : MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT.
I think that this movie is simply, without a doubt, amazing. This story takes Molly Janson through a very spiritual, and emotion journey, from her boyfriend's death to what seemed like a prank that reminded her constantly of her boyfriend's death (she didn't believe Oda Mae Brown at first). And even after she pulled herself together and believed her, she still have to face Carl Bruner, her best friend, who tries to get the password (supposingly in her apartment) from her, and even more danger that might lie ahead. At the end of the story, although she was able to finally see Sam, she was still unable to reunite with him, simply because he is already dead.
