Heyy guys!

I'm watching the Nobel Peace Prize Award right now.

You should have watched me when they introduced Westlife.

"Irish band with 14 no. 1s", and I'm like "OMG, it's gotta be Westlife. AHHHH!!!".

Lols. And it is. Okay, anyway, gonna have a t.v. marathon today.

Heya, happy new year!

I wanted to post this exactly on 12:00, but I decided not to be someone who has no life. lols.

Anyway, I saw Jennifer Stone's video post on YouTube earlier on, about 2010 and the year of no fears. Basically to try to conquer our fears in the upcoming year.

And of course, I'll do the same.

Well, besides that, my new year's resolution is to attempt what I do not dare to. And, to work extra and try to bring my "talents" to new heights, hopefully able to open up a new world of opportunities.

What I'll do in this upcoming year.

  1. Study, Study, and Study! - and get 10pnts of less for my L1R5 "O" levels.
  2. Practice my Piano till I can play out some of my Weslitfe songs.
  3. At least sing better. LOLs.
  4. Draw a better Graphite Portrait drawing
  5. Write a story. :)

I'll add more if I think of newer onces.

So, ta-ta!

Heyyaaa,

I decided to try out graphite drawing after seeing an amazing video on YouTube. Here it is~!

But it has moderate success to what I have expected. I'm still bad with the shading part. Oh, and, I'll try to get a darker pencil (maybe, 6B..?) and try another out. Hope it'll be a lot better.

Till then...

Heya guys!!!

I just saw Channel U's Feature Film, "The Promise", "向日葵的约定", staring Lawrence Wong and Julie Tan. It was a very touching story, a very realistic story, puts us across a reality check. I was glad the story ended with hope. You guys may not know what I'm talking about, but anyway, those who have seen this movie would have liked it, a lot. But it's a pity it's only available as Channel U's Feature Film, and probably not available elsewhere. But yeah, this movie has potential.

I will post more information tomorrow.

Anyways, if you didn't turn in to Singapore Idol tonight, who you'd guess would be the winner..?

Yes, you got it! Seizari. (pardon my spellings).

But no matter who wins, both of them have got potential, and I'm sure, they will travel far more then this.

I'm watching Heroes now, and Syler just got another new power. OMGOSHH.

He's ALMOST unstoppable now! He's so strong now that the only possible way he might die is of too much powers! LOLS. Okay you don't really find that funny..? okay...

Sup guys,

Christmas is here and what'd you guess? Christmas presents, celeberations, and for the "stay-homes", we have movies lined up for you guys!

I watched "Holiday in Handcuffs" yesterday. It was a ABC Family Original Movie, basically I watched it due to the fact that "Melissa Joan Hart" played the main role, along with "Mario López".
I've seen Melissa Joan Hart's acting in "My Fake Fiance", and it was spectacular. It actually reminded me of Selena Gomez in "Wizards of Waverly Place" (television show) with her "I-don't-really-care" attitude. Well, at least it was what I saw from her in the beginning of the show.

This movie is about a waitress who kidnaps a complete stranger to pretend as her boyfriend and visit her family (since her actual boyfriend did not want to do that and broke up with her). Along the way, many funny things happened. But in the end, love blossoms, and you know..? Typical love movie.

But it was funny. It was really awsome.
A very cute movie, too, if I should say so myself.

Time for the ratings, once again.

9.1/10

And Step Up going to show on the television today. I've watched it before, it was okay. But I really love the fact that I'm going to watch it on the television. The sound is better, the quality (well, maybe not really better). It's a whole new experience, I'd tell you!

And yes, I'm still trying to sing (yeah, I know, wtheck). Anyway, I might be going to Orchard with my friends on Monday (yep, this Monday), depending on who is going.

And I'm really really really bored...
And ... I'm picking out some games to play with until school reopens (along with studying).

So, yeah... bye for now, I guess..?

I've thought about the whole American thinky.

I would love to work in America.
I would love to live in those houses there that are recognised as "landed property" here in Singapore.
But I guess, it's hard for people of different races/thinking to live together. Although a lot of people have emphasized how we can stay together as one, but still, we do have foreign students here, and I have noticed some similarities in them. We're a lot different from them in terms of food, religion, and a lot more. But of course, I do believe that if we try, we can make a noticeble difference, make relations a whole lot better. But still, there're gap in between. And besides, as much as I hate it, people do love to tease/insult foreigners. I've seen it before, I should know.

Anyways, I still like an exchange program to countries such as America or Australia. It'll be great fun interacting with people of different races.

On a sidenote, I really do love street performers. You know, those band/choirs that perform on the street. I really love how their roads/houses are arranged. But it's a pity Singapore is too small for that arrangement. We're 3rd in terms of our Density (which means, we have the 3rd {most people divided by smallest land size}).

I'm really proud of Singapore too. Gold medal in Swimming. Great airport. Loads of Greenery. And a whole lot more. So gone with the media influences!

Singapore is where I belong!

Hi ...

Seriously. I tried singing but it still doesn't sound right - it's just like it don't have any depth in it. Plus I have that Singlish accent. gawd, good life you have there.

Merry Xmas.

A very good day.

Guys, you know sometimes you wish you were born in some other places. For example, I do sometimes wish I was born in the USA, basically because they have all sorts of awsome things.

The first that I could think of is the houses that they live in. It's not like in Singapore, where almost everywhere you live in are flats. And landed property here isn't too exciting either. In the USA, I don't really see flats (do they even have that..?), it's like you open your gate, and you see a long stretch of road, and lots (well, at least there are somebody) of people walking around, to school, to work, or simply for a walk. It's not as isolated as some places here in Singapore.

Second, schools there seem really cool, with lots of facilities. CCAs and programmes there have a lot more variety. The people there are a lot friendlier and funnier too.

Places look cooler, and technology are more advanced there. And apart from all that, the main stage of influences comes from (where'd guess..?) the USA. Hollywood. Famous actors, actresses. And best of all, for people who loves to sing but can't, like me for instances, would be glad to have a nice American accent. I mean, let's face it. An average American is a lot likely to sing better than an average Singaporean. Well, why? Because most Singaporeans have gotten used of our Singlish accent. And plus, we can't pronounce well.

Maybe it's just the media influences. I'd really like to study in the USA. But I really don't want to go there and find out everything is not what I thought to be.

And to end this, I'll present you guys with a question to think about.

Are grass really greener on the other side..?

I just saw some really awsome A Capella videos. And most of them are actually very good. Simply marvelous.

I'll just post some here, enjoy~!

Great to see you guys~!

Well, I guess I'm really into movie these days, well romance movie to be precise. Basically because of their comedic element in them, for example, "My Fake Fiance", shown on ABC Family.

I saw this really great movie that someone recommanded. It's called "If Only".

It's similar to my last movie review, "P.S. I love you".

Basically, this movie is about a guy (Paul Nicholls), who gets a chance to change the events that led to his girlfriend's death, after they quarreled about how he treated her.

Similar to what I've said about my movie review, it's a great movie for a first date.

I shall not reveal too much spoilers, just watch it yourself if you want to know the ending.

Rating time~!

8.6/10

Cya next time... for another great movie review!

Wei Zhong

Heyyy,

I've been so bored lately, that it's basically just studying and badminton. Just saw a movie just now, "P.S. I love you".

Short Introduction:

A young widow discovers that her late husband has left her 10 messages intended to help ease her pain and start a new life

I heard that it's kind of a sad story, a lot cried and I've never ever cried badly while seeing movies before so I thought I'd try to see what happens after seeing this movie. Maybe it's because of the comments others write, about how sad it is, about how much they cried. But yeah, I cried, a lot.

This movie puts you in a situation whereby you lose your sprouse, your closest partner that shares everything with you, joy or sadness and presents you with questions that you might never ever thought of, and the sadness that lies within it.

Truthfully speaking, it's really a great romance movie, it's sad. It makes me cry in some parts. But I don't think it's good to sustain a bunch of audience. Maybe it's just me. 'cause I have never seen romance movie without the comedy element, and of course I don't think it's really great to put that into this movie. Or else I'd be crying half way and laughing the other.

I still think it's worth to watch, if you're really interested, you can simply rent it from your nearby kiosk. If your country does have it...
or you can rent it from your friends, watch with them together, watch with your sprouse, cry together. It's a great friends/family moment.

To think I'd thought that I'll never find this kind of movie. A good sad+romance movie.

And... Let me just do a short rate thinky. based on my own opinion.

eh, I won't post my ratings on each of the catagory, but instead... the grand final scoree.

Heyas~!

It's almost 2 in the morning now, so I'll just summarize everything.

Basically, I went to practice Badminton today, just to see how my strokes work out. I must say, I have improved, quite a lot. But it's just the control and follow through that I'm missing out.

I still can't do a backhand drop shot, and a smash shot. Plus, I don't really have that much control over where my shuttercock is going, which... I'm supposed to have.

But, I certainly have a whole lot of better footwork this time. And over these few days, I have learned a lot about badminton over the internet (eg; Lunge, Base, Ready Position).

Competitive badminton is just too much for me, but with practice comes perfection and I believe I can one day compete on a large scale based competition.

Wearing red looks stupid, and the main problem now about myself is the Confidence and Bravery that I'm missing. I promise I will try to improve on that. And I mean it.

Gonna go to bed;;

Bye~

Hey again guys~!

so basically, it's just like... I have this passion about Badminton, (usually I get bored of something if I'm not interesting in it, but badminton... it's extraordinary how it doesn't make me bored, especially after a hard day's practice).

But the problem is, first, I'm not good in it, despite pratices (basically I practice with myself most of the time). I'm trying to do a backhand drop shot now, it's ironic that it's really hard to pull off a good backhand drop shot when it seems really easy on instructional videos.

And. I'm not intending to get a coach. But the passion is just...
Andd, I'm having goals to play PROFESSIONALLY.

But the problem is, I can't even make it all together. I miss even a simple shot, not to even mention a drop shot, or a smash shot.

Then again, I practice only in my room, which is quite small, (restrains you from doing your best). But I can't possibily ask my friend out every so often.

...

Leave a comment behind,

Signing off~

Hi again, everyoneez.

So basically, I watched this amazing documentary today, "Seconds from Disaster", which describes each major disaster, from what caused the disaster to the actual process of it. It's a fascinating show, I must say.

Today's episode is about the sinking of Titanic.

Basically, what happened, was that the side of the ship was a mixture of steel + slag (which I have learned, is calcium silicate, CaSi03), I think. The mixture of slag was to strengthen the steel, but adding in too much could potentially weaken it instead. Thus, when Titanic slams into this giant iceberg, which was calculated to cause at least 14000pounds (I think it was pounds) of pressure on the side of the ship, the steel gave way and water rushes in.

The people on the bird's eye stand (or whatever it's called), only saw it 30 second before impact, basically caused by the cold weather, (irritating their eyes, making it wet) and the dark night (which makes it hard to see the blue iceberg).

Titanic has received 5 warnings on that day about the icebergs. But, the ship actually did go slow - it was not at maximum speed. There was a nearby ship (called something Californian) which could reach them within 2 hours (the boat was estimated to only hold up to 2 hours), but the electronic telephone guy (lol, not the actual name. Well, ships communicated through this electronic thinky... forgotten it's name, lol) went to sleep and did not receive the signal.

Besides, there was only 20 lifeboats, which was clearly not enough with the huge amount (3000..?) of passengers. It could only hold half of it.

Basically that was it. Some information might be wrong... but sparee mee~! I can't possibily remember everything~! :)

But then again, you do learn a lot from these documentaries. You guys should watch it sometimes.

So... bye again~~!

See you soon. :)

A big hellooo to all of you~!

Once again, it's time for me to write a short review on the SEA games.

Swimming ended yesterday, but it's quite a surprising day, with Indonesia and Thailand winning the Men's 4 x 200 Relay (?) and the Individual Women's Freestyle (?) respectiviely.

I'm quite surprised that Thailand actually defeated Quah Ting Wen, but I guess that Thai was better in Breaststroke (?), and so they caught up on that.

Indonesia's second and third swimmer was really good. They kept on increasing the distance between Singapore and them. A really well-deserved gold medal.

Now, on to today @ the games.

Swimming has ended, but we're still receiving gold in Table Tennis Men and Women's Singles Finals. Both the Men and Women were Singaporeans, so basically we kick out all other country's representative to get into the finals. Shooting (?) has also gotten one, and so does Billiard.

Now, Singapore is still third with 31 gold medals, with Malaysia catching up behind, with 25 gold medals.

If Singapore manage to keep up this standard, we'll be getting third for the first time since 1977 (well, for the first time after Vietnam, Brunei, Indonesia, Philippines and Timor-Leste joined).

And once again,

GOOO TEAM SINGAPOREEE~~!

Hey there, and welcome to another exciting issue of Wei Zhong's SEA games reviewww~~!

* drum roll please~ *

nah, just a short review. Basically I took the time today to watch Singapore play Table Tennis, Singapore vs Singapore, and I must say, it really is a good match-up, with 2 match point to Feng TW, and 3 to their opponents (which is also representing Singapore), whose names I forgotten. LOL.

And before the swimming competition, we were put on the screen just in time to see the Athletics running, which Singapore wasn't in it. But then again, I had nothing to do, so I just sat by and watch them run. I'm not going to touch on that. But, I did saw the last part of swimming, tag team event, Singapore won, yet again. I'm very impressed with our swimming team this year, and I can really say that I'm proud to be a Singaporean.

Now, on to the medal tally. We bagged 24 golds, and it's not the end of the game yet, with Thailand and Vietnam just in front of us with 29 golds and 25 golds respectively. One more day (?) before the Swimming event is over and there stops our medal tally. Perharps, other sports can manage to get a few more gold for us. I was really hoping for 30+ gold medals.

But ah, Swimming, Shooting, Table Tennis have really done us proud, especially Swimming. Table Tennis is really a hard sport (well, at least for me). I wonder how can they manage to concentrate on hitting their opponent's side on the table and focus on not letting the ball touch the ground on such a small table at the same time, not to mention trying to hit it at such an angle that their opponent isn't going to hit it.

I'm going off to play Badminton (yes, professionally) after seeing the SEA games. Heh~ wish me good luck~!

Heyya guys, guess what.

I'm very very badd today. I didn't went to the libriary to study with Zoey and Hwee, but instead slept till 3pm. LOL.

Okay, anyway, found my Animorphs books a few days ago, currently excited to read the part whereby the gang recruit more Animorphs to help them on their quest to destory Visser Three.

My schedule is quite full everyday (but is always taken by game making, which I'm doing at the moment). I still have soo much to study.

But on the bright side, I managed to complete Matrices (well, not really all, but ... yeah.) and I'm on Vectors, the toughest chapter ever. Andd even better news, I completed 3 chapters (Standard Deviation, Probability and Matrices) in just 7 days~! Aren't I great? Haha.

My priority now is Chemistry and Additional Mathematics. Chemistry should be okay, with the help of my guide book, and yeah, A. Maths will be tough, but with will and determination comes power, and I believe so. ;)

Talking about game creation, I will be posting some screenshots on my latest game process from tomorrow onwards (well, at least I will try to).

Now, gonna go back to studying Chemistry (hopefully complete Acids and Bases, Salts and Neutralisation).

* Oh and, I forgot to practice my Piano. god, so many things to do, so little time.

Well, hey, you can't believe how I felt after seeing the SEA games just now.

I have never felt so happy for Singapore (maybe because Singapore don't really get THAT much medals in the Olympic Games) and I truly feel proud being a Singaporean.

Just now we had the Badminton and Swimming, and Singapore got into the top3 for both of that category. yay~!

Just watching them play makes me feel enthusatic.

Singapore is now third, just behind Vietnam and Thailand, with 2 and 1 gold respectively. I'm sure Singapore will be able to catch up. :)

GO SINGAPOREEEEE~!!

Song Lyrics
Chorus:

Sometimes in life you feel the fight is over,
And it seems as though the writings on the wall,
Superstar you finally made it,
But once your picture becomes tainted,
It's what they call,
The rise and fall

I always said that I was gonna make it,
Now it's plain for everyone to see,
But this game I'm in don't take no prisoners,
Just casualties,
I know that everything is gonna change,
Even the friends I knew before may go,
But this dream is the life I've been searching for,
Started believing that I was the greatest,
My life was never gonna be the same,
Cause with the money came a different status,
That's when things change,
Now I'm too concerned with all the things I own,
Blinded by all the pretty girls I see,
I'm beginning to lose my integrity

Go to Chorus

I never used to be a troublemaker,
Now I don't even wanna please the fans,
No autographs,
No interviews,
No pictures,
Endless demands,
Give into vices that was clearly wrong,
The type that seems to make me feel so right,
But some things you may find can take over your life,
Burnt all my bridges now I've run out of places,
And there's nowhere left for me to turn,
Been caught in comprimising situations,
I should have learnt,
From all those times I didn't walk away,
When I knew that it was best to go,
Is it too late to show you the shape of my heart,

Go to Chorus

Now I know,
I made mistakes,
Think I don't care,
But you don't realise what this means to me,
So let me have,
Just one more chance,
I'm not the man I used to be,
Used to be..

Go to Chorus
