Guys, you know sometimes you wish you were born in some other places. For example, I do sometimes wish I was born in the USA, basically because they have all sorts of awsome things.
The first that I could think of is the houses that they live in. It's not like in Singapore, where almost everywhere you live in are flats. And landed property here isn't too exciting either. In the USA, I don't really see flats (do they even have that..?), it's like you open your gate, and you see a long stretch of road, and lots (well, at least there are somebody) of people walking around, to school, to work, or simply for a walk. It's not as isolated as some places here in Singapore.
Second, schools there seem really cool, with lots of facilities. CCAs and programmes there have a lot more variety. The people there are a lot friendlier and funnier too.
Places look cooler, and technology are more advanced there. And apart from all that, the main stage of influences comes from (where'd guess..?) the USA. Hollywood. Famous actors, actresses. And best of all, for people who loves to sing but can't, like me for instances, would be glad to have a nice American accent. I mean, let's face it. An average American is a lot likely to sing better than an average Singaporean. Well, why? Because most Singaporeans have gotten used of our Singlish accent. And plus, we can't pronounce well.
Maybe it's just the media influences. I'd really like to study in the USA. But I really don't want to go there and find out everything is not what I thought to be.
And to end this, I'll present you guys with a question to think about.
Are grass really greener on the other side..?
